Chapter 1
A Wonderland Away Mission

One day in Wonderland the only daughter of The Mad Hatter was lying down on her father's tea table looking up at the sky and thinking about what it is like in outer space. Just then her father walked over to her.
THE MAD HATTER: Starshine what are you doing?
LESLEY: Father what do you think that I'm doing?
THE MAD HATTER: Are you thinking about outer space again?
LESLEY: Yes, yes I am.
THE MAD HATTER: Why?
LESLEY: Father you know how much I love outer space. Even though I've never been in outer space.
THE MAD HATTER: I'm sure that you will go into outer space before you know it.
LESLEY: I hope so. I wonder what it's like in outer space.
~Meanwhile in outer space~
There is a Galaxy Class starship called the Enterprise orbiting Wonderland. The captain named Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the Enterprise asks one of his officers to scan the planet.
PICARD: Mr. Data scan the planet for any lifeforms?
DATA: Aye, sir.
A few minutes later Data was done with his scan.
DATA: Captain, I have finished my scan of the planet.
PICARD: What did you find out Mr. Data?
DATA: It's a planet called Wonderland.
PICARD: Wonderland? What about lifeforms?
DATA: Well there are some unusual creatures there.
PICARD: What kind of creatures?
DATA: I am not sure, Captain.
PICARD: Prepare an Away Team, Mr. Data.
DATA: Sir?
PICARD: I want you to go down to Wonderland and investigate.
DATA: Aye, sir.
So Data got an Away Team ready.
DATA: Commander Riker, Counselor Troi, Commander Worf, Geordi and Ensign Crusher.
WESLEY: Me, Commander Data?
DATA: Yes, Wesley.
WESLEY: May I ask why?
DATA: Well there might be people down there your age.
A few minutes later Data's Away Team are in Transporter Room 3. Now they are getting ready to beam down.
DATA: Energize.
The transporter chief energized the Away Team to the surface of Wonderland. Once there they started scaning for lifeforms.
DEANNA: There are lifesigns here.
RIKER: How many Deanna? Besides us?
DEANNA: At least 14, Commander.
RIKER: Only 14.
Just then Data spotted someone coming.
DATA: Commander, someone is coming this way.
RIKER: There's two of them coming this way.
GEORDI: Let's talk to them.
The Away Team stopped them and the two they stopped were Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum.
RIKER: Excuse me, I'm Commander William T. Riker of the starship Enterprise. Who are you?
TWEEDLE DEE: I'm Tweedle Dee and this is my brother Tweedle Dum.
TWEEDLE DUM: Where is the Enterprise?
RIKER: It's orbiting above us right now.
TWEEDLE DEE: You mean it's in outer space.
RIKER: That's right.
TWEEDLE DUM: Commander Riker who are your friends?
DEANNA: I'm Counselor Deanna Troi.
DATA: I am Lieutenant Commander Data.
TWEEDLE DUM: Excuse me, but I think you need to get out in the sun more.
DATA: I do not understand.
TWEEDLE DEE: I think my brother is talking about the color of your skin.
DATA: Oh, I am an android.
TWEEDLE DUM: You mean like a robot.
DATA: I am much more different than a robot.
WORF: I'm Lieutenant Commander Worf.
TWEEDLE DUM: What are you?
WORF: I'm Klingon.
GEORDI: I'm Lieutenant Commander Geordi LaForge.
TWEEDLE DEE: What's that on your eyes?
TWEEDLE DUM: Is it some kind of futuristic sunglasses?
GEORDI: Actually it's a visor. It helps me to see.
TWEEDLE DEE: And without it?
GEORDI: Without it I'm blind.
TWEEDLE DEE: Can it help you see the way we can see?
GEORDI: Actually it helps me see things that you can't see.
TWEEDLE DEE: And you are?
WESLEY: I'm Ensign Wesley Crusher.
DATA: Do you have a leader here?
TWEEDLE DEE: Yes we do.
RIKER: Take us to your leader.
TWEEDLE DUM: Actually, Commander, our leader is the Queen of Wonderland.
RIKER: Queen?
TWEEDLE DEE: Yes she's The Red Queen aka the Queen of Hearts.
RIKER: Then take us to your queen.
So the Tweedles took the Away Team to the palace.
TWEEDLE DEE: Your majesty we have some visitors from outer space.
THE RED QUEEN: Please to meet you all.
RIKER: Hi, your majesty, I'm Commander William T. Riker of the Enterprise.
THE RED QUEEN: Well Commander this is The White Rabbit and this is Alice.
RIKER: Nice to meet you.
THE WHITE RABBIT: It's nice to meet you too.
ALICE: It's nice to meet you Commander Riker.
THE RED QUEEN: Who's this pale face?
DATA: I am Lieutenant Commander Data and I am an android.
ALICE: You mean like a machine or a computer?
DATA: Yeah something like that.
DEANNA: I'm Counselor Deanna Troi. I'm Betazoid.
WORF: I'm Lieutenant Commander Worf. I'm Klingon.
GEORDI: I'm Lieutenant Commander Geordi LaForge. If you're wondering this is a visor that I'm wearing and it helps me to see things that you can't see.
THE WHITE RABBIT: And without it?
GEORDI: I'm blind.
WESLEY: I'm Ensign Wesley Crusher.
THE RED QUEEN: What brings you to Wonderland?
DATA: Well while in outer space we happen to come across this planet. The captain asked me to scan the planet for lifeforms. And our sensors picked up you and your subjects. Then the captain asked me to bring an Away Team down here to investigate.
THE RED QUEEN: Ok, well I'll let you continue your investigation.
DATA: Thank you, your majesty.
A few minutes later the Away Team found themselves in front of The Mad Hatter's house. They saw a long table set for tea and they saw The Mad Hatter having tea with his best friend The March Hare. They also saw someone lying down on the tea table.
DATA: Why is that girl lying on the table?
RIKER: I don't know Data.
DEANNA: Commander she is thinking about what it's like to be in outer space.
RIKER: Are you sure, Deanna?
DEANNA: Yes, I'm sure. Outer space is all that she can think of apparently.
RIKER: Excuse me.
THE MAD HATTER: Who are you?
RIKER: I'm Commander William T. Riker of the Enterprise. This is Counselor Deanna Troi, Lieutenant Commander Data, Lieutenant Commander Worf, Lieutenant Commander Geordi LaForge and Ensign Wesley Crusher.
THE MAD HATTER: I'm The Mad Hatter. This is my best friend The March Hare.
Just then the Dormouse popped out of his teapot.
THE MAD HATTER: This is the Dormouse.
RIKER: Who is that girl on the table over there?
THE MAD HATTER: That's my daughter, Lesley Hatter.
DATA: Why is she lying on the table?
THE MAD HATTER: She likes to lie down on the tea table and look up at the sky.
Just then The Mad Hatter went over to his daughter.
THE MAD HATTER: Starshine we have some visitors that I would like you to meet.
Lesley sat up and she stood on the table and jumped off with the help of her father. When Wesley saw her he fell in love with her.
LESLEY: Who are you?
RIKER: I'm Commander William T. Riker of the Starship Enterprise.
LESLEY: Did you say Starship, Commander Riker?
RIKER: Yes I did and it's obiting above us right now.
LESLEY: You mean in outer space.
RIKER: That's right.
LESLEY: Cool. I love outer space. Although I've never been to outer space.
RIKER: Deanna you were right.
LESLEY: Who's Deanna and why she is right?
DEANNA: I'm Counselor Deanna Troi and I'm Betazoid. I sensed that you were thinking about outer space while you were lying on the table.
LESLEY: Ok that makes since. Nice to meet you Deanna.
DATA: I am Lieutenant Commander Data and I am an...
LESLEY: (interrupting) Android.
DATA: Yes. How did you know?
LESLEY: Just lucky I guess.
GEORDI: I'm Lieutenant Commander Geordi LaForge. This is a visor that I'm wearing.
LESLEY: Why do you wear it?
GEORDI: It helps me to see things that you can't see.
LESLEY: And without it?
GEORDI: I'm blind.
WORF: I'm Lieutenant Commander Worf. I'm Klingon.
LESLEY: Please to meet you Mr. Worf.
WESLEY: I'm Ensign Wesley Crusher.
When Lesley saw Wesley she fell in love with him.
LESLEY: Hi, I'm Lesley Hatter.
WESLEY: How would you like to come back to the Enterprise with us? You can meet my mother, Dr. Beverly Crusher.
LESLEY: You mean go into outer space in the Enterprise.
WESLEY: Yes. So what do you say?
LESLEY: I would love to but, I have to ask The Red Queen first.
WESLEY: Don't you mean you have to ask your father?
THE MAD HATTER: Actually Wesley my daughter is right. I maybe her father but if we go anywhere outside of Wonderland we have to talk to The Red Queen first.
LESLEY: Yeah so I have to ask The Red Queen.
Just then The Red Queen appeared.
THE RED QUEEN: Ask me what.
The Away Team was startled by the suddened appearance of The Red Queen but Hatter, Lesley and Hare were use to it.
LESLEY: If I can go into outer space onto the Enterprise with our new friends, your majesty?
THE RED QUEEN: Do you want to go?
LESLEY: More than words can say your majesty.
THE RED QUEEN: In that case you can go, but on one condition.
LESLEY: What's that your majesty?
THE RED QUEEN: Your father has to go with you.
THE MAD HATTER: Why do I have to go with her, your majesty?
LESLEY: Please father, would you come with me?
THE MAD HATTER: Ok, I'll go.
LESLEY: Thanks, father. And thank you, your majesty.
THE RED QUEEN: You're welcome.
Now The Away Team plus The Mad Hatter and his daughter, Lesley are getting ready to beam back up to the Enterprise.
LESLEY: Excuse me Commander Riker, but how are we going to get back to the Enterprise from down here?
RIKER: We are going to beam back up.
LESLEY: Beam up?
RIKER: Yes, we have transporters aboard the Enterprise. That's how we got down here.
LESLEY: Oh, I see.
RIKER: Riker to Enterprise.
O'BRIEN: Go ahead, Commander.
RIKER: Eight to beam up.
O'BRIEN: Stand by, Commander.
A few minutes later The Away Team plus The Mad Hatter and his daughter Lesley are now aboard the Enterprise. They are now leaving the Transporter room and going to a turbolift on their way to the bridge. A few minutes later they were entering the bridge. Everyone but Riker went to their stations on the bridge. The captain went over to Riker.
PICARD: Who are your guests, Number One?
LESLEY: (thinking) Number One?
RIKER: Captain this is Lesley Hatter and her father The Mad Hatter they are two of the people that we met while we were down in Wonderland.
PICARD: Welcome aboard the Enterprise Lesley and Mr. Hatter.
LESLEY: Thank you, Captain.
The rest of the day Lesley and her father were being escorted around the Enterprise by Data and than they were shown to their quarters.
LESLEY: Father this is so cool. It's everything I thought it would be.
THE MAD HATTER: This is really cool.
Lesley sighs.
THE MAD HATTER: What's wrong, starshine?
LESLEY: I just wish our friends were up here with us.
THE MAD HATTER: How true that is. Maybe we can ask Captain Picard if he can send someone to bring them up here.
LESLEY: That's a great idea father.
Before they knew it they heard a chime at their door.
LESLEY: Come in?
When the door opened they saw Captain Picard standing on the other side.
LESLEY: Captain Picard, what are you doing here?
PICARD: I just wanted to see how you were doing.
LESLEY: We are doing fine, thank you. Captain may I ask you a question?
PICARD: Of course.
LESLEY: My father and I were wondering if you could send someone back down to Wonderland and ask our friends if they would like to come up here? That is if it's ok with you, Captain?
PICARD: Of course they may. Besides I would like to meet the residents of Wonderland.
LESLEY: Thank you, Captain.
A few minutes later Captain Picard left and he asked Riker to go back down to Wonderland and bring up Lesley's friends.
